Mystics of the Modern Age Premieres April 1

Fellow mystics, I have some exciting news.

Stumbling Mystic has been selected as a founding partner on Oprah’s new digital project, Mystics of the Modern Age. This all-in-one enlightenment platform will include an online magazine, a social media channel, a streaming service, a suite of mobile apps, a fact-based news outlet, and more.

I was invited to join the network in a phone call with Oprah last week. During our conversation, I told her, “You know, I have a whole bunch of mystics with me. They’d love to be a part of this enlightenment thing. Can we invite them to be partners too?”

She drew a breath. “Well,” she said, “that all depends. Are they sincere in wanting to transform their inner and outer worlds? Are they able to learn equally from joy and grief? Do they seek the silver thread of good in every person? Can they feel the dawn when the night is darkest? Can they meet disappointment with hope, heartbreak with renewal? Are they ready to pick up and start again, no matter how many times they stumble, hearing the note of a longer song?”

I smiled. “That won’t be a problem.”

“Then yes,” she replied, “they’re in. They’re already partners.”

I said, “You know, we’re working to bring everyone along. There may eventually be eight billion of us.”

Oprah smiled and said, “That won’t be a problem.”

What a glorious opportunity. What a happy day. Who wouldn’t want to be part of a project like this? To walk away, you’d have to be a fool.
